Money Smart week in Wisconsin

October 12, 2009 By Bob Hague

This is Money Smart Week in Wisconsin, an opportunity for consumers to become better informed about personal finances, family budgeting, and financial literacy.

Department of Financial Institutions Secretary Lorrie Keating Heinemann says topics for this week’s workshops, seminars and programs include budgeting, fighting fraud, protecting against identity theft, and job hunting skills. The bottom line, says Keating Heinemann, is getting people educated. You can find a complete list of topics and locations around Wisconsin this week at moneysmartwi.org.
