Not too late for winter vehicle check ups

November 30, 2009 By Bob Hague

Don’t let the delayed arrival of snow and ice on Wisconsin roads serve as excuse to put off seasonal vehicle maintenance. Motorists really ought to be getting those tasks accomplished in October, says Beth Mosher with AAA. “Get your battery checked out, get your tires checked out, get all your fluid levels checked out, just so your car is well prepared for winter.” Mosher says, adding that vehicle readiness is particularly important if you’re planning long distance, holiday travel. Must haves in the car include jumper cables, blankets and of course, your cell phone.
