Badgers headed for Champs Sports Bowl

December 6, 2009 By Bill Scott

Following Wisconsin’s 51-10 win over Hawaii on Saturday night, the football Badgers found out today they’ll face Miami in the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl on Dec. 29 at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando, Fla.  Kickoff is set for 7pm CST and will be televised by ESPN.

Wisconsin finished the regular season with a 9-3 overall record and 5-3 Big Ten mark.  Miami is also 9-3 overall and 5-3 in the ACC.

The Badgers finished their fifth nine-win season in the past six years Saturday night with the victory over Hawaii.  Wisconsin also jumped back into the national polls by virtue of that victory.  UW is ranked No. 22 in the latest USA Today poll and 24th according to the Associated Press.  Miami is 14th in the USA Today poll and 15th by A.P.
