Lawmaker calls Scocos firing a “tragedy”

A Southwest Wisconsin lawmaker is blasting Governor Jim Doyle over the recent firing of Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary, John Scocos. State Senator Dale Schultz (R-Richland Center) says in all his years of state government, Scocos is clearly one of the most popular cabinet people the state has ever had. Schultz calls the firing a tragedy of enormous proporations.

Schultz says Scocos dismissal is incredibly political, and predicts the state will face a messy lawsuit over the issue.
