No need to rush on health care

December 23, 2009 By Andrew Beckett

As the Senate continues work on its version of a national health care reform bill, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) says he still has some major concerns about the package.  Ryan says the proposal is the height of fiscal and economic responsibility, and he believes it will damage the nation’s economy and the health care system.

The Wisconsin Republican says the GOP has been trying to play a role in health care reform and has asked to be included in the process.

However, he says they’ve been excluded since day one and Republican proposals have been ignored. Ryan says Democratic leaders have said they have the votes, so they’ll do it their way.
