Warhawks in Div. 3 final again

December 13, 2009 By Bill Scott

The UW-Whitewater Warhawks came up with a late fourth quarter rally to knock off Linfield (Oregon), 27-17, at Perkins Stadium to advance to the Stagg Bowl for the fifth straight season.

For the 5th straight season, Whitewater (14-0) will face Mount Union (14-0) in the title game.  Mount Union captured 3 of the 4 previous titles.  The Championship will be played next Saturday in Salem, Virginia.

With Whitewater trailing, 17-13, Antwan Anderson scored on a 1 yard touchdown run to take the lead and Levell Coppage added a 40-yard touchdown run with a minute to play that sealed the win.
