January 11, 2010 By Bill Scott

Jon LeuerA major blow to the Badger men’s basketball team, who just knocked off fourth ranked and previously unbeaten Purdue on Saturday.

Wisconsin junior forward Jon Leuer (pictured) injured his left wrist in Saturday’s game.  Leuer was injured early in the first half as he tried to break his fall.

An x-ray after the game revealed a fracture of a bone in his wrist and he is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow (Tuesday).  No timetable has been set for his return.
