Bucks’ Alexander headed for D-League

The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned second-year forward Joe Alexander to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League (D-League).

Alexander is meeting with the team today and will play in his first game on Friday night.

Alexander as drafted by the Bucks with the 8th overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft.  He hasn’t played yet this season because of a strained right hamstring.  He appeared in 59 games as a rookie in 2008-09 and averaged 4.7 points a game last season.
