Insurer offering help to those stranded in Haiti

January 14, 2010 By WRN Contributor

A Stevens Point-based travel insurance company is offering free help to any American stuck in Haiti, not just its customers.

Travel Guard spokesman Dan McGinnity says services being made available include emergency travel or lodging arrangement, medical evacuation, and passport replacement. He says they want to make sure they can provide help in any way possible.McGinnity says providing emergency relief is routine business for the company and they have the networks needed to help.

He says you should contact Travel Guard if you a friend or relative in Haiti who needs help. Travelers and family members can contact the company at 1-866-644-6811.
