John Denver gets FDL man in trouble

January 18, 2010 By WRN Contributor

John Denver sang about being a country boy, and one Fon du Lac probably wishes that’s where he was living. At least after police came to his door over the weekend after a neighbor complained about him playing Denver’s music at a high volume.

When police arrived at the scene, officers had to call the 42-year-old man just go get him to answer the door.

Officers asked the man why he was playing the music so loudly. He replied that he was “just rocking out.”

The man was cited for unnecessary loud noise, which could result in a fine of over $200.
