Badger Men Net 20th Victory

February 22, 2010 By Bill Scott

The #14 Badger Men held off a late charge from Northwestern Sunday at the Kohl Center to notch a 70-63 win over the Wildcats.  Senior Jason Bohannon lead four Badgers in double-figures with 17-points playing all 40 minutes.

In his second game back from a wrist injury, Junior Jon Leuer had 11-points with a big block in the final minutes of the game.  Badger Head Coach Bo Ryan on Leuer’s performance…

Leuer missed 9-games when he broke his wrist back on January 9th in a victory against Purdue.  With that amount of time missed, Ryan knows they need to make the chemistry return…

After a hot shooting first half of 75% from the floor, Wisconsin made just 26% of their shots from the field in the second half.  The Badgers led by 14 at the half but saw that lead go all the way to a single point late in the final minutes.

Wisconsin (10-5, 20-7) has won 20-games now in 7 of Bo Ryan’s 9 seasons with the Badgers.  Up next is a trip to Indiana Thursday to take on Tom Crean and the Hoosiers (3-11, 9-17).
