Bogut’s Big Night Leads Bucks

February 23, 2010 By Bill Scott

In the last 20-years, only Orlando’s Dwight Howard and Milwaukee’s Andrew Bogut have posted a 20/20 game at Madison Square Garden.  Bogut had 24 points and 20 rebounds Monday in the Bucks 83-67 win over the New York Knicks.  Milwaukee swept the three-game season series from New York.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute also posted a double-double in the win with 11-points and 11-boards while newly acquired John Salmons added 15-points.  The Knicks were led by Tracy McGrady with 15-points and David Lee’s 12-point and 13-rebound performance.

The win is the 4th straight for the Bucks on the road and 3rd straight overall.  Coupled with Charlotte’s loss last night, Milwaukee now holds on to the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks have taken advantage of their recent weak schedule by taking nine of their last tweleve games.  Two of the three losses came against playoff contenders (Houston and Orlando).  A pair of wins over Miami are the lone victories against playoff teams though of the nine wins.

Six of the next nine for the Bucks are against teams above .500.  That stretch starts tomorrow night when Milwaukee hosts New Orleans at the Bradley Center.
