Brewers sign potential relief help

February 10, 2010 By Bill Scott

Left handed reliever Scott Schoeneweis has agreed to a minor league contract with the Brewers.  The deal includes an invitation to major league spring training.

Schoeneweis has played for six major league teams and was 1-2 with a 7.13 ERA in 45 relief appearances with Arizona last season.

Schoeneweis is 46-57 lifetime with a 4.97 ERA in his 11-major league seasons.

He’s scheduled to get a 1-year, $800,000 deal if he makes the 40 man roster and another potential $700,000 in performance bonuses.
