Badgers climb two spots in A.P. Top 25

March 8, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin men’s basketball team, with wins over Iowa and Illinois in the past week, moved up two spots from 15th to 13th in the A.P. Top 25 College Basketball Poll.

The Badgers improved to 23-7 and will host Illinois in the Big Ten Quarterfinals on Friday afternoon.

The Marquette Golden Eagles remain outside the Top 25, receiving 6 votes and sit at #31.

Kansas regained the top spot after falling to #2 last week.  Kentucky is 2nd and previous #1 Syracuse drops two spots to 3rd.  Duke is 4th and Big Ten members Ohio State and Purdue are at 5 & 6.
