Badgers win, will face Illini again in Big Ten quarterfinals

March 8, 2010 By Bill Scott

Jon LeuerJordan Taylor and Jon Leuer (pictured) each scored 20-points to lead the 15th ranked Wisconsin Badgers to a 72-57 win over Illinois in Champaign on Sunday.

Trevon Hughes added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Badgers, who improved to 23-7 overall.

Wisconsin enters the Big Ten Tournament as the 4th seed.  They’ll get a rematch with the Illini (5th seed) on Friday afternoon.

The Badgers are a lock to make the 65-team NCAA Tournament field, but it may take a win or two for Illinois to gain a spot in the field.
