Brewers beat Cubs 5-3

March 10, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers evened their Cactus League record at 3-3 with a 5-3 win over the Chicago Cubs in Mesa on Tuesday.

Jeff Suppan held the Cubs scoreless in the first to extend the Brewers scoreless innings streak by starters to 12.  That streak ended after the Cubs scored twice in the second and once in the third off of Suppan.

Joe Inglett, trying to win the final spot on the Brewers 25-man roster, clubbed a 2-run homer in the 9th inning.  Derrek Lee homered in the loss for the Cubs.

The Brewers face the San Diego Padres today.
