Bucks host Heat

March 26, 2010 By Bill Scott

Two of the NBA’s hottest teams meet on the Bradley Center floor tonight as the Milwaukee Bucks (39-31) host the Miami Heat (38-34).  Milwaukee has won 15 of their last 18 while the Heat have put together 9-wins in their last 12.

The game has heavy playoff implications attached to it.  Milwaukee currently holds a two-game lead over Miami for the 5th spot on the Eastern Conference Playoff ladder.  The Bucks do hold the tie-breaker over Miami already holding a 3-0 lead in the season series.  Bucks Guard Jerry Stackhouse hopes to see his team focused tonight:

The Bucks got an assist last night from the Heat   Miami Heat knocked off the Chicago Bulls 103-74 dropping the Bucks playoff magic number to six.  The Bucks need a combination of six wins and Chicago loses to make it to the post season for the first time since 2006.

Milwaukee has 12-games left on the schdule, 7-home and 5-away.  Of the 12-games left, seven (Boston (2), Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Phoenix, & Cleveland) will be against playoff teams with only two (Miami and Charlotte)against teams chasing them for the 5-spot.  Milwaukee is 2-up on Miami, 2.5-up on Charlotte, and 4-up on Tornto.

Tonight’s tip from the Bradley Center is set for 7:30.  The game is being broadcasted Nationally on TNT.
