Day 1 in the books at WIAA State Basketball Tournament

The first day of the WIAA Boys State Basketball Tournament is in the books.  Semifinal action is on tap today with champions to be crowned in all four divisions on Saturday.

Division 1 quarterfinals
Appleton East 54, Antigo 46
Madison Memorial 58, Neenah 41
Marquette 48, Milwaukee Hamilton 43
Arrowhead 64, Verona 34

Division 1 semifinals tonight
Appleton East (22-5) vs. Madison Memorial (22-4) – 6:35 pm
Marquette (19-8) vs. Arrowhead (23-3) – 25 minutes following game 1

Division 2 semifinals this afternoon
Sauk Prairie (21-6) vs. Catholic Memorial (25-2) – 1:35 pm
Northwestern (23-4) vs. Kiel (19-6) – 25 minutes following game 1

Division 3 semifinals this morning
Blair-Taylor (24-3) vs. Racine St. Catherine’s (23-4) – 9:05 am
Regis (22-5) vs. Brillion (23-4) – 25 minutes following game 1

Division 4 finals from yesterday
Randolph 63, Royall 35
Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran 64, Clayton 63

Division 4 Championship Saturday
Randolph (28-0) vs. Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran (18-10) – 12:05 pm
