March 3, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Marquette Golden Eagles took another step towards securing a spot in the upcoming NCAA Tournament field, by rocking the Louisville Cardinals 69-48 at the Bradley Center.

The win is the 4th straight and 9th in the last 10 games for the Golden Eagles, who grabbed sole possession of 5th place in the Big East Conference.  Marquette is 11-6 in league play, 1/2 game behind 11-5 Pittsburgh and a full game behind 12-5 West Virginia.

Darius Johnson-Odom scored a game-high 22 points, including 14 in the first half to lead Marquette.  Maurice Acker added 15 points as the Golden Eagles won for the 20th time this season.
