Marquette to meet Washington in NCAA’s

March 14, 2010 By Bill Scott

Not only did Marquette make the NCAA tournament field, but they did so as a number-6 seed.  The Golden Eagles (22-11) won two games in the Big East tournament before falling to Georgetown in the semifinals and wound up winning 11 of their last 14 games.  That earned them a first round date with the Washington Huskies (24-9) in San Jose, California on Thursday.

Washington has won its last seven games, including the Pac-10 Tournament Championship game over California 79-75.
