Two bodies found in Racine apartment

March 26, 2010 By WRN Contributor

Police in Racine continue investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman in an apartment across the street from a grade school. A neighbor, checking on the welfare of the man and his girlfriend, came upon an open apartment door with both persons on the floor, and a gun nearby.

Racine Police are not offering any theories as to what happened, while pending autopsy results could shed more light.

Two of the couple’s children were in the elementary school across the street from the west side apartment, while a third child was at another school. Police officials got to them before it was time to go home.
