Bucks drop home finale to the Hawks

April 13, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks lost their regular season home finale to the Atlanta Hawks, 104-96 at the Bradley Center.  Joe Johnson led 6 Hawks in double figures with 31 points.  John Salmons had 28 and Brandon Jennings 21 for the Bucks.  Even though the Bucks don’t know who their first round playoff opponent will be, they do know that they’re in and will face either Boston or Atlanta.  Because they have some security, Bucks coach Scott Skiles said his team lacked desire.

Veteran forward Jerry Stackhouse said games like these really have little meaning.

The Bucks fell a game behind Miami for the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference and Atlanta’s win moved the Hawks a game in front of the Celtics for the 3rd spot in the Eastern Conference.  If things remain as they are today, the Bucks hold down the 6-seed in the East and would open the playoffs at Atlanta against the Hawks.

The Bucks close out the regular season at Boston on Wednesday night.
