There’s just a little over a week to go before your taxes are do, and many Wisconsinites have apparently gotten them in well before the deadline.
Stephanie Marquis with the state Revenue Department says they’ve received over two million tax returns so far, out of the estimated three million they expect to get by tax day. She says many of those coming in will be filed electronically use the Department’s website.
Marquis says free tax help is also still available across the state, for those who need it.
As for the one million procrastinators out there, Marquis says some people just wait until the last minute. Most often, they’re the ones who owe the state money.
