Packers select Iowa’s Brian Bulaga in 1st round

April 22, 2010 By Bill Scott

Bryan Bulaga The Green Bay Packers may have the Chad Clifton’s eventual successor at left tackle, selectingoffensive tackle Bryan Bulaga out of the University of Iowa.

Bulaga is listed at 6’5, 312 pounds, considered one of the more athletic big men in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Bulaga can play a number of different positions on the offensive line and that’s something the Packers like, being able to move players around if need be.

Bulaga earned Walter Camp All-American first-team honors, adding second-team accolades from the Associated Press.  He was a All-Big Ten Conference first-team choice and became the sixth Hawkeye to be named Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year by the league’s coaches.
