Suppan to make rehab start in Appleton

April 7, 2010 By Bill Scott

Jeff SuppanMilwaukee Brewers veteran right hander Jeff Suppan will make a rehab start for the class (A) Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Appleton on Friday night.

If all goes well on Friday for Suppan, he’ll return to the Brewers 5-man rotation and will make a start next Wednesday in Chicago against the Cubs.

Suppan was one of three candidates for the 5thspot in the rotation, along with lefties Chris Narveson and Manny Parra.

Brewers manager Ken Macha told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Suppan wasn’t locked into the No. 5 spot permanently, that performance would dictate whether Chris Narveson or Manny Parra would get a shot.
