Wisconsin environmental policy “underperforming”

April 21, 2010 By WRN Contributor

Mixed marks for the Badger State from an environmental leader on the eve of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Steve Hiniker of 1000 Friends of Wisconsin says the Governor and the Legislature have made accomplishments in the past year on transportation and clean energy issues but they need to do more.

Hiniker gives the state an overall grade of “C” saying Wisconsin “could have done so much more.”

Earth Day was founded by former Wisconsin Senator and Governor Gaylord Nelson.
