Brewers score big again, beat Dodgers

May 6, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers made it two-in-a-row over the Los Angeles Dodgers, scoring 11 runs for the second straight game and winning 11-3.

One night after scoring 9-runs in the second inning, the Brewers scored four times in the first inning last night.  Prince Fielder drove in two of the four runs with a single to left in the first.

Rickie Weeks had 3-hits and 3-rbi’s to help the offensive cause for the Brewers.

Doug Davis picked up his first win of the season.  After allowing 20 runs in 16 innings of work, Davis gave up two more in the first last night.  But then he settled down to work 5 1/3 innings to improve to 1-3 on the year.

The Brewers added insurance in the 8th inning by scoring 5 runs in the 11-3 win.  The Brewers can sweep the 3-game series with a victory tonight.
