Pavelski’s post-season has Sharks pointed in right direction

Joe PavelskiThe San Jose Sharks took a 2-0 series lead in round 2 over the Detroit Red Wings.  The Sharks won yesterday’s NHL playoff second round game 4-3. 

Plover, Wisconsin native and former BadgerJoe Pavelski scored two goals and added an assist to push his NHL-high playoff goal total to nine.  Pavelski is also the first player since Mario Lemieux to score two goals in three straight playoff games.

Joe Thornton won it for the Sharks by picking up a rebound in the crease and poking it in for the game winner.

The series now shifts back to Detroit for games 3 and 4.
