Phoenix signs first ever 7-footer

May 11, 2010 By Bill Scott

New UW-Green Bay Phoenix men’s basketball coach Brian Wardle announced the signing of the school’s first ever 7-footer in his first recruiting class.

High school senior Alec Brown from Winona, Minnesota, picked Green Bay over fellow Horizon League school Loyola.  Brown was also drawing interest from Northwestern, Colorado and Washington State.

Brown averaged 22 points, 10 rebounds and nearly 5 blocked shots a game.
