Pointers season comes to an end

May 31, 2010 By Bill Scott

UW-Stevens Point’s dreams of winning a division 3 baseball title ended on Sunday with a 8-3 loss to 2nd ranked Heidelberg at Fox Cities Stadium.  The Pointers finished with a 34-18 record.

Heidelberg (42-7) hit the Pointers early and often, collecting 11 hits in the first five innings and jumping out to an 8-1 lead and that’s all the offense they would need to advance to Monday action.
