WI GOP parties in Milwaukee

May 21, 2010 By Bob Hague

Wisconsin Republicans hold their convention in Milwaukee this weekend. State GOP party chair Reince Preibus says, with 1500 delegates and guests, the party’s party in Milwaukee has forced a moved to a larger venue – the Frontier Airlines Center – for Saturday’s events.

Those delegates will vote to endorse candidates for governor, lieutenant governor, and Congress as the GOP prepares for what Priebus says will be an historic election. “This is our time in history,” says Priebus. “A time for our family to rebuild itself, but also to take back our state and our country. I think people feel the energy of that opportunity.” Priebus says the Republican Party must recommit to fiscal responsibility to be successful in November. The convention ends Sunday.
