Badgers release 2010-11 non-conference hoops schedule

June 11, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin men’s basketball team has announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming Badger basketball season.  The Badgers will play seven non-conference games at the Kohl Center and could play as many as five road/neutral games vs. 2010 NCAA Tournament teams.

The Badgers will welcome UW-La Crosse (Nov. 6) and Minnesota State
(Nov. 10) in the preseason.

The regular season tips off on Sunday, Nov. 14, when the Badgers host Prairie View A & M at the Kohl Center.  Two days later, the Badgers host North Dakota on Nov. 16.

The Badgers will take a trip to Vegas on Nov. 20, to take on UNLV.  Then it’s the 2010 Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Florida.  The Badgers will be joined in that tournament by 2010 NCAA Tournament teams California, Temple, Notre Dame, Boston College, Georgia, Texas A & M and Manhattan.

The Badgers host North Carolina State on Wednesday, Dec. 1 in the 2010 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The Badgers host South Dakota at the Kohl Center on Saturday, Dec. 4.  They’ll then play three straight in-state rivals, Dec. 8 vs. Milwaukee at the Kohl Center, Dec. 11 at Marquette and Dec. 13th against Green Bay at the Kohl Center.  They’ll wrap up non-conference play Dec. 23 against Coppin State at the Kohl Center.

The Badgers Big Ten schedule will be released in August.
