Former Brewers top pick returns to action

June 10, 2010 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Brewers 2006 first round draft pick Jeremy Jeffress returns to baseball with the Brewers Class (A) affiliate, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.  Jeffress begins his comeback from a 100-game suspension for testing positive for marijuana use a third time.

The 22 year old Jeffress was eligible to return a couple of weeks ago, but was slowed by forearm stiffness in extended spring training.  He’ll shift to a relief role to keep him more focused and engaged on a daily basis.
