Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez streaked from 1st to 3rd on a sacrifice bunt and Xavier Nady’s errant throw allowed Gomez to score the game winner in a 5-4 win over the Cubs at Miller Park.
Both teams struggled in many aspects of the game, but in the end, the Brewers made the big play when it counted. The Brewers managed to win 2 of 3 over the Cubs.

The Brewers had several chances throughout the game, but finished 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position and stranding 12 base runners in all.
The normally reliable Ryan Braun is 0 for 11 with three rbi’s in the series. He’s hitting just .212 at home this season and just .205 (8 for 39) with four rbi’s and only one extra base hit in June.
The Brewers return to inter-league play tonight when they open a 3-game weekend series against the Texas Rangers.
