Mason Crosby’s inconsistency in 2009 raised questions to whether the Packers would bring in another kicker to challenge Crosby in 2010. The answer to the question is no as Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy stated Wednesday:

Crosby connected on 75% of kicks in 2009; his lowest accuracy rate in his 3-NFL seasons. Of his 9-misses, two came in the 30-yard range and three in the 40 yard range.
McCarthy also spoke about the punting battle that is going on. Tim Masthay and Chris Bryan are looking to be the replacement for Jeremy Kapinos who was not brought back in the offseason. McCarthy says right now its a neck-and-neck:

The final OTA practice for the Packers is today (Thursday). It’s a short turn-around though as mandatory mini-camp begins Monday with a 10:45 public practice.
