Rickie Weeks led off the bottom of the first inning with his 17th career lead-off home run.  Weeks finished with four hits as the Brewers took 2 of 3 in the series and have won 6 of their last 7 games.

The loss goes to Jason Vargas (6-3), his first defeat since May 4th.

Corey Hart also drove in Alcides Escobar with a run scoring double, extending his hitting streak to 12 games.  Prince Fielder then capped off the scoring with by driving in Hart with a run scoring single.

John Axford struck out the side in the 9th for his 7th save.  He’s perfect in that department since replacing veteran Trevor Hoffman.
