Bucks finish Summer League with a Win

July 19, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks (1-4) avoided going win-less in their 5-game summer league session in Vegas as they took care of Cleveland Sunday 80-66.  Larry Sanders and Deron Washington each had 17-points to lead the Bucks.

Sanders, Milwaukee’s 2010 1st round pick, led the team in scoring (14.0), rebounding (8.3), and blocked shots (3.2) for the 5-games.  Washington was second in scoring at 13.2 points per game.

A couple of players with state ties saw some action in Vegas.  Former Wauwautosa East star Jerry Smith scored 5-points in 3-games while former Marquette Guard Dominc James played in just one game scoring 2-points.  Neither is expected to make the regular season roster.  The 2010-2011 NBA Schedule is due out in the next couple of weeks.
