Heroin, crack and fights…all part of a Janesville bar

July 30, 2010 By WRN Contributor

The operators of McStaggers bar in downtown Janesville won’t be able to apply for a liquor license for a year after relinquishing it. Police Chief Dave Moore says the bar had many disturbances, multiple fights and an incident where a DJ was selling heroin there. When arrested he had a prohibited weapon. Moore says police were also concerned that after the arrest the DJ was allowed to remain an employee there.

Moore says they received an unusual number of calls to the bar and the employees are reluctant to cooperate with police.  One of the alcohol license holders was recently arrested for possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver.

The bar owners relinquished their license on the same day police filed a complaint for revocation.
