2-out runs continue to hurt Brewers

August 26, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Los Angeles Dodgers made it back to back wins over the Milwaukee Brewers, pulling out a 5-4 win at Miller Park on Wednesday night.

Again, 2-out runs proved to be a problem.  Of the 5-runs scored by the Dodgers, 3 of them came with two outs.  According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, entering Wednesday’s game, the Brewers had surrendered 243 two-out runs this season, 5th-most in the majors.

Randy Wolf was the responsible party last night, suffering the loss.

On the day the Dodgers placed Manny Ramirez on waivers, he doubled twice, walked twice, drove in a run and scored a run.

The final game of the series is this afternoon.
