Abbrederis looking to make an impact at WR

August 24, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin Badgers return their top four wide receivers from the 2009

Jared Abbrederis

season, Nick Toon, Isaac Anderson, David Gilreath and Kyle Jefferson.  But despite having three seniors and a fourth year junior at wideout, redshirt freshman Jared Abbrederis continues to impress in training camp and may find a role with the team.

Abbrederis was the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association firts team all-state quarterback in 2008, when he led Wautoma to a State Championship.  As a high school senior, he threw for almost 17-hundred yards and 19 touchdowns and also ran for almost 15-hundred yards and 26 scores.

Abbrederis worked as a scout team quarterback last season, now he tries to make the switch to WR.

Abbrederis is a good sized target at 6’2, 190 lbs.  And he said he’s much more comfortable in his second year.
