August 16, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers are facing a 11:01pm deadline tonight, to sign their top draft pick, prep pitcher Dylan Covey of Pasadena, California.

The two sides are scheduled to meet this afternoon.  The 11:01pm time is the deadline for all Major League clubs to sign their draft picks.

The commissioner’s office is recommending a player drafted in the #14 slot, receive a signing bonus of $1.7-million.  The Covey’s are reportedly asking for $2-million.
