Jail inmate suicide

August 17, 2010 By WRN Contributor

The death of an inmate Sunday night at the Dane County Jail in Madison has been ruled a suicide. The coroner’s office will continue other tests but says foul play was not involved with the death of 51-year-old Lonnie Johnson. The Fitchburg man was found unresponsive in his cell after hanging himself. Johnson, who’d been an inmate at the jail since June 15th, was being held for abuse of a vulnerable adult and disorderly conduct.
