Lehman Aces 17th at Whistling Straits

August 15, 2010 By Bill Scott

2010 Senior PGA Champion, Tom Lehman, made a hole-in-one on the par-3 17th hole yesterday at Whistling Straits during the third round of the 92nd PGA Championship.  Lehman used a 4-iron from 217 yards out for his first ace in PGA Championship competition.

It’s just the third hole-in-one during PGA Championship competition at Whistling Straits.  Hale Irwin and Robert Gamez each had a hole-in-one during the 2004 event at Whistling Straits.

Steve Stricker

Madison’s Steve Stricker followed up his first two rounds of even par-72 with a 4-under par 68 during the 3rd round yesterday.  Stricker trails leader Nick Watney by 9-shots entering the final round on Sunday.

Stricker will tee off at 11:38am Sunday morning and will be paired with Stephen Gallacher of Edinburgh, Scotland for the final round.

The championship pairing of Watney and Dustin Johnson will go off at 1:35pm Sunday.
