Mindset list shows where college freshmen are at

It’s time to dig into the minds of college freshman. The Beloit College Annual Mindset List is said to help teachers understand what cultural references might draw blank stares – and make the rest of us feel very old. For example, this year’s freshman likely don’t wear watches. When they see writing on the wall it’s likely printed, as few know how to write cursive. And what’s the thing on the end of a phone? That’s right, their phones never had cords. But maybe their biggest loss, to them Clint Eastwood has always been a sensitive actor and director, never the rough and tough man we love, Dirty Harry.
