An MRI on the left wrist of Randy Wolf in Milwaukee on Monday turned up
negative. The only damage to Wolf’s left wrist turned out to be the contusion sustained when the Milwaukee Brewers lefty was hit last Sunday by a line drive off the bat of Hunter Pence.
Wolf played catch before Monday’s game against the Chicago Cubs and will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.
Wolf could pitch again as early as Saturday, but because of an off day on Thursday, the Brewers might decide to hold him back until next Tuesday, the next time they’ll need a 5th pitcher in the rotation.
