Packers sign LB Simpkins

The Green Bay Packers have signed linebacker Maurice Simpkins on Tuesday.

Simpkins is a first year player out of Coastal Carolina who recently played for the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League in 2010.  He earned first-team All-IFL honors and was named the league’s Most Improved Player.

The Packers also placed cornerback Josh Bell on injured reserve.
