Brewers end 5-game slide

September 6, 2010 By Bill Scott

Prince Fielder clubbed his 30th homer of the season to help lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.  The Brewers salvaged the final game of the series and put an end to their 5-game losing streak.

Randy Wolf turned in another solid pitching performance, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing 2-runs on 7-hits.

By reaching 30 home runs, Fielder becomes just the second Brewer player to reach 30 in four straight seasons.

The Phillies saw their 5-game win streak come to an end and they remain 1-game behind Atlanta in the race for the National League East crown.

The Brewers open up a 3-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals today.
