Bed bugs found at UW Health facility

October 29, 2010 By WRN Contributor

There’s been a lot of talk about the spread of bed bugs across the country, and now it’s hitting close to home. A small outbreak of the parasitic insect was discovered at a UW Health clinic west of Madison.

The bugs were found in a small area on the first floor of the Middleton office. The building is used for administrative purposes only, so no patients were affected.

A pest control company has already been in to use a chemical pesticide to eradicate the problem, and the building has been thoroughly checked.
