Body found in Racine woods

October 15, 2010 By WRN Contributor

Racine Police are looking into the circumstances of a woman’s death, calling it a homicide investigation. A 911 call late Thursday afternoon sent officers to a wooded area southeast of two heavily traveled main city streets, and within a mile of both city hall and the police station.

The body of the woman was located inside a vehicle. There’s no word on any obvious signs of trauma with the body, while an autopsy will try and help determine the cause of death.

Right now, the victim is unidentified, but police are hoping someone in the community can shed some light on that, and perhaps what led to the woman’s demise.
