Suspect jailed in murder of former teacher

October 18, 2010 By WRN Contributor

The Racine County District Attorney’s office could file homicide charges today against a convicted sex offender for the murder of a former teacher. Racine Police have been very close to the vest with information about this case, but the 65-year old suspect was jailed over the weekend for first degree intentional homicide.

Sergeant Marty Pavilonis says the victim, 67-year old Sandra Teichow of Lake Geneva, was found in a wooded area within blocks of both city hall & the police station. Teichow & her husband taught internationally.

The suspect, meanwhile, has a 1992 attempted rape conviction, and had NOT been compliant of late with the state’s sex offender registry.
